What is Title IX?

Sexual Misconduct at Wilmington University

Prohibited Conduct under Title IX
Title IX prohibits the following sexual misconduct under Title IX:
Quid Pro Quo Sexual Harassment
Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when:

Hostile Environment Sexual Harassment

Non-Consensual Sexual Penetration
Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus, with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.
Non-Consensual Sexual Contact

Domestic Violence
A felony or misdemeanor crime of violence committed
- by a current or former spouse or intimate partner of the victim.

Reporting
